Retail Store Manager (Golf)

Our client is a high end premium Golf brand, They are one of the worlds leading premium golf equipment suppliers and have a huge opportunity to join their team.
We are seeking a motivated Retail Store Manager to lead and grow our clients store/brand. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading and developing a team and in retail operations, particularly in the luxury goods sector. Having experience in or a passion for golf would be advantageous. You will be responsible for developing our Retail team, driving sales performance, managing store operations, and fostering a high-performance culture within your team.
Responsibilities:
Team Management, Development, and Leadership
- Daily Management of a team of 6 retail team members.
- Work closely with team members to develop and train a high-performing sales team committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Foster a culture of continuous development through performance feedback and coaching.
- Handle administrative team management, including schedule employee rotas effectively and fairly, as well as managing holiday and sickness to ensure appropriate coverage.
- Promoting teamwork and collaboration within the retail team and across internal departments to ensure a smooth journey for our customers.
Store, Stock and Inventory Management
- Managing store operations to ensure safety, efficiency and a professional high-end appearance.
- Perform financial activities and oversee inventory management to support sales while minimising shrinkage.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards as set by headquarters to enhance the shopping experience.
- Monitor and analyse internal data to track performance against assigned KPIs, making appropriate changes to ensure KPIs are hit.
Business Development
- Drive and increase store traffic by promoting the brand in the local market and identifying opportunities for increased brand exposure.
- Develop strategies to improve store performance based on a thorough understanding of our market and our business.
- Promote and drive our Introducer program and other company initiatives.
- Cultivate strong relationships within the industry and local communities to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.
Event Organization
- Create, organise and execute promotional events and community engagement activities to elevate brand presence and drive sales.
- Collaborate with the local marketing team to ensure alignment of store events with overall brand strategy.
- Analyse the success of events and make recommendations for future initiatives to enhance customer experience and brand loyalty.
Skills Required:
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer service and effectively close sales.
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop and lead a team.
- Strong prioritisation and responsiveness to customer and team needs.
- Enthusiastic team player with self-starter qualities and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with CRM/sales databases is beneficial.
- Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Proactive problem-solving skills with the initiative to make sound decisions.
- Golf Knowledge (preferred).
Additional Information:
- This role will involve some weekend and evening work.
- This position may require travel.
- The basic salary is £45k, OTE £65k (uncapped commission)
