Quantity Surveyor – Retail & Leisure Fit Out

Location: North East / Yorkshire (Leeds office opening in 2025) Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 + negotiable package Start Date: January 2025

About A fantastic opportunity is available to join a specialist fit-out company based in the North East, focused on delivering high-quality retail and leisure projects across the North East, North West, Yorkshire, and Birmingham. As part of their ongoing expansion, they are excited to announce the opening of a new office in Leeds within the next 12 months. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional spaces, on time and within budget, and are seeking a skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join the growing team.

Role Overview Looking for a Quantity Surveyor with specific experience in the retail and leisure fit-out industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in project budgeting, cost control, and financial oversight, ensuring the smooth delivery of each project to meet our high standards.

Until the Leeds office is operational, this role requires travel to the North East office two days per week. The role is suitable for someone based within a commutable distance to Leeds or Newcastle as those will eventually be the 2 office locations.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing budgets, estimates, and valuations for retail and leisure fit-out projects.
Managing all project costs, minimizing expenses while enhancing value.
Conducting regular cost analysis and budget forecasting.
Overseeing subcontractor costs and ensuring contract compliance.
Liaising with project managers, clients, and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient project completion.

Candidate Requirements

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the retail and leisure fit-out sector (essential).
Flexibility to travel to the North East office twice a week until the Leeds office opens.
Strong organisational, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Based in either the North East or Yorkshire.
