Job Title: Barista – Specialty Coffee Shop Location: Manchester City Centre (near Salford Central Train Station) Position: Full-Time

About Us: We are launching an exciting new specialty coffee shop in the heart of Manchester, just a short walk from Salford Central Station. Our mission is simple: to offer the best coffee experience in town, crafted with passion, precision, and the finest beans. We're looking for a talented and enthusiastic Barista to join our team and take the lead in shaping our coffee menu.

The Role: As our lead Barista, you will be the face of our coffee shop, ensuring each cup meets the highest standards of quality. You will be instrumental in creating our menu, sourcing coffee beans from premium roasters, and working to develop a unique and memorable coffee experience for our customers. This is more than just a barista role – it's a chance to influence the direction of our coffee offering and help build our brand.

Key Responsibilities:

Craft high-quality espresso-based drinks and other beverages with skill and consistency.
Develop and curate our coffee menu, experimenting with different brewing methods and flavours.
Source the finest coffee beans, working with suppliers to maintain a premium product range.
Maintain and operate coffee-making equipment, ensuring top performance at all times.
Deliver exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
Train and mentor other staff members on coffee preparation and presentation techniques.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new brewing methods, and emerging coffee profiles.

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience as a Barista in a specialty coffee environment.
A deep passion for coffee and a strong understanding of different brewing methods.
Ability to taste, evaluate, and recommend different coffee beans and blends.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Creativity and willingness to innovate our coffee menu.
Knowledge of coffee sourcing, roasting processes, and sustainability practices is a plus.
A team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to excellence.
