POSITION SUMMARY:
Ensure that all guests are served to the hotel’s standard in the Restaurant / Bar Lounge areas. Ensure the highest standards of hospitality and welcome are always demonstrated within all food and beverage areas.
Takes orders for food and beverages and serve to guests as per the hotel’s standard in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
HOURS OF WORK:
Can be flexible up to five days per week, including weekends, full time hours are around 45 per week.Typical shifts are Breakfast 7.30 – 10.30am, Lunch 12.00 – 3.00pm, Dinner 6.00 – 10.00pm
RESTAURANT STAFF MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following may include and are not limited to; -
Customer Service: Welcomes guests in a friendly manner, takes orders accurately and efficiently.
Serves meals and beverages to guest’s satisfaction. Responds to any requests promptly.
Product Knowledge: Has a full knowledge of the menu and drink items available, is able to ascertain any special dietary requirements and advise guests if necessary. Up sells products where appropriate.
Mis en Place: Is able to prepare/clean working area prior to and after Service to the Company / Hotel’s standards.
Administration: May be required to prepare guest accounts, take payments and (finish the shift in payment terms), using POS system if available.
Personal Requirements; Maintain a neat and tidy appearance, adhering to the Company / Hotel uniform standards at all times. Maintaining a professional behaviour at all times.
Legislation: Continuously adhere to all Health and Safety, Fire Safety, Food Safety, Allergy Awareness, General Data Protection Regulations and any other relevant legislation where required.
Other Duties; Perform any other reasonable tasks as and when required.
Essential criteria:
Must be able to demonstrate the right to work in the United Kingdom
Education:
Good general standard of education
Experience:
Previous customer service experience preferred
Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
Level of English at Level B2 (CEFR) or above
