Blue Arrow has an exciting temp Sous Chef opportunity with a live-in option in Weymouth available.
An experienced Sous Chef is required for the amazing hotel based in Weymouth, Dorset. We are looking for someone who enjoys cooking fresh food and will take work alongside the Head Chef, taking some responsibility for elements of the kitchen including preparation, cooking, and presentation of food to agreed standards.
Key Information:
- Salary: £14.50 per hour
- Hours: 5/7 days on a various shift
- Location: Weymouth
- Live-in option is available
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to cooks and service staff
- Producing and serving night shift dinner for 70/80 people
- Completing general preparation for the next shift
- General cleaning and stocking fridges and counter shelves
- Duties include pot wash and dishwasher
- Set up and service on the counter
- General cleaning
- Customer service
- Storing food
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food preparation
Preparation of fresh quality dishes with good quality ingredients locally sourced.
Preparation, cooking and presentation of food to agreed standards.
Help with preparation of food items and maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of kitchen
*Work alongside the kitchen team
Required skills include:
A basic understanding of produce and ingredients
Experience in the kitchen
Basic knowledge of food production methods
Embrace new ideas and processes
*Positive and approachable manner
In order to be successful, you'll need to have:
Experience working in a similar environment
Ability to follow instructions
*High Standards of hygiene
