Responsibilities of the Sous Chef:

Directs food preparation and collaborates with Head Chef
-
Helps in the design of food menu.
-
Produces high quality dishes, including both design and taste.
-
Oversees and supervises kitchen staff.
-
Assists with menu planning, inventory, and management of supplies.
-
Ensures the food is top quality and that the kitchen is a EHO standard of 5.
-
Keeps stations and cleans as they go, also complies with food safety standards.

Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen’s performance.

Prepares food to the Head Chefs standards.
-
Trains new employees.
-
Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment.
-
Solves problems that arise and seizes control of issues in the kitchen.
Qualifications:
