As the Managing Director (MD) of a growing software and services company, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, driving growth, and ensuring operational excellence. Reporting into the founders, who are extremely successful individuals within the sector, you will play a pivotal role in defining strategic priorities, and executing initiatives to enhance market positioning and profitability, with a desired trade sale within 5 years.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategic direction for the company, aligning with organizational goals and market trends.

Oversee all aspects of operations, including product development, sales, marketing, finance, and customer support.

Lead the formulation and execution of business strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market presence.

Manage financial performance, budgets, and resource allocation to support strategic objectives.

Foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and accountability to drive continuous improvement and employee engagement.
Qualifications and Experience:

A Sales background is a prerequisite, as opposed to finance or marketing.

Proven leadership experience in a similar role within the software sector, either as an MD, or possibly a Sales Director/COO.

Strong business acumen with a track record of driving growth and profitability.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and customer success.

A relatively stable CV, with proven commitment to ‘staying the course’ with companies.

Experience in a company which has been built and sold.

Experience selling into government or similar.
The opportunity comes with a negotiable basic salary pitched at circa £120,000 and profit related revenue-based bonus plus equity options, Hybrid working
