Salary: Circa £55,000 to £70,000 depending on experience

The opportunity:
Software Engineering Team Lead
It’s team with a passion for software and its successful deployment in battlespace Command and Control (C2) weapon systems. They work on technology that is at the forefront of system design, delivering safe, secure, and reliable products to our customers.
Software Engineering Team Lead needs to be capable, adaptable and inquisitive software engineering team lead to join a an established team to lead development of a Product Line software solution, for the current and next generations of systems.
The position will work across multiple applications on both land and maritime projects in the systems software department, this role promotes involvement in many of the most advanced systems in the world, across multiple warfare domains, and provides a great opportunity for someone wanting to be involved in many differing areas of software.
What we’re looking for from you:

You will have proven experience leading teams (this role is 5- 10 people) and working with multiple stakeholders to deliver quality software, implementing both agile and waterfall methodologies.

Some experience developing with C, C++ or Ada, with a solid background in software engineering including use of scripting languages.

A passion for software engineering, with the ability to innovate and think critically to solve complex software problems with a willingness to develop software skillsets.

Comfortable working in a collaborative environment, communicating and contributing to design and implementation and integration decisions across multiple projects and sites (no travel required).

We are looking for a good communicator, someone willing to present new ideas and be able to influence stakeholders, including Project Leaders and Department Leads.

Strong technical documentation writing and reviewing skills.
