Embedded Software Engineer
Location: Truro, Cornwall
Salary: £45,000 to £65,000
Working Pattern: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote
An opportunity has opened for an Embedded Software Engineer to join an Electronics company based near Truro. The ideal candidate will have an excellent background within the Electronics industry, with a bias towards the Embedded software side. Particular skills in C and C++ are essential and any microcontroller experience would be a benefit.
The company are going through a period of growth currently and offer 1 day working from home a week as well as 25 days holiday + bank and half day Fridays.
Embedded Software Engineer Key Skills
- Excellent Embedded Software knowledge including C and C++
- Experience working with microcontrollers like PIC or STM32
- ARM cortex knowledge
- Any Electronics knowledge would be beneficial – PCB Design, Analogue Electronics
- IOT and MQTT knowledge would be a bonus
Embedded Software Engineer Duties
- Working with the rest of the Engineering department which includes Electronics Engineers, Embedded Software Engineers, Mechanical and more
- Developing Embedded software for microcontrollers like PIC and STM32
- Using Python and MATLAB for data analysis
- Helping the Electronics Engineers with PCB Design and other design activities
- Testing and documentation
