This newly created role for a Management Accountant can offer you the flexibility to work 28-32 hours a week, reporting directly to the Finance Director and working closely with the Finance Manager who has been with the business for two decades. She's not the only one, many employees have recently received long service awards, ranging from 5 years to 37 years. You will certainly be offered a long-term career and stability with this company which has continued to grow Nationwide consistently since 2019.
In time as the demands increase this could mean so will your hours if this is what you want, if not, that's ok additional resources may be the option for the team.
You will have experience of creating a set of management accounts and reports on the Profit and loss for the business units. You'll have the confidence and ability to manage budgets and forecasts for key areas of the business - working alongside commercial, operations and non-financial colleagues, happy to advise on things like material waste, labour efficiency and transport. You are not afraid to be challenged!
You'll have a good understanding of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills. You must have an outgoing personality and be prepared to work closely with others outside the immediate finance team. If you are a shy wall flower this is not the role for you!
