Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with an excellent AIM listed business near Wigan to appoint a new Financial Accountant.

This is an excellent varied opportunity for an ACA/ACCA first time mover to step into a high level role within an established business, with the opportunity to drive change and make the role their own. This individual will gain exceptional exposure and shadow and learn from a high calibre and supportive Financial Controller.

Responsibilities include:

Overseeing the UK controls, including the annual completion of the Financial Control Framework Providing support to international hubs and sharing best practice to ensure robust controls across the group Responsible for VAT compliance processes and return preparation, covering UK and International VAT Responsible for completion of the entity year end statutory accounts Leading the annual corporation tax compliance work and preparing the tax submissions to group Identify process improvement opportunities in the UK company Supporting period end reporting processes as necessary Ad hoc projects including improving controls, processes, implementation and potential acquisitions Our client offers a competitive benefits package, hybrid working schedule, and encourages internal moves inline with personal development & career goals.
