We are recruiting for an Accountant to join a well-established, dynamic accountancy practice, at its Banbury office. This is a multi-office firm that is undergoing an exciting phase of growth and would consider applications from candidates seeking a part time role.

You will be providing accountancy services to a varied portfolio of clients, operating across various industries and the experience that you will bring to the role, will support the directors with the continued development of the practice.
The firm is ideally looking for ACA/ACCA qualified candidates, however, exceptional qualified by experience candidates will be considered.
As Accountant your responsibilities will include:
- Providing guidance and support to junior team members
- Review of management accounts, and VAT returns
- Preparing management accounts with more technical requirements
- Preparation and review of annual statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
- Preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns
- Overseeing client deadlines and helping the team to prioritise their workload
- Responding to technical accounting and finance related queries from staff and clients
- Effectively managing client communication
- Support managers and partners in ad hoc tasks including tax planning, advisory work and handling client queries

To be considered for this role, you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:
- ACA or ACCA qualified – exceptional QBE applications will be considered
- Significant experience gained within UK accountancy practice and a good knowledge of UK GAAP FRS 105 and FRS 102
- Experience of sole trade, partnership and limited company accounts
- Enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude and positive mindset
- Takes a commercial approach, keeping client’s best interests at the heart of everything
- Possesses excellent attention to detail
- Enjoys and sees the benefit in developing others
- Able to build strong relationships internally and externally
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance workloads to manage the needs of various clients
- Good general IT skills; experience with Xero accounting software is advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
