Orion Automation are currently supporting a leading engineering specialist with customers in a wide range of industries. Due to an extended period of exponential growth, we are looking for an additional Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their multidiscipline team, based in Warwick.
About The Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer Role
You will be responsible for developing and contributing mechanically to new products and bespoke design solutions, across a wide variety of exciting engineering challenges.
The Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for:
Use CAD software for detailed models and documentation.
Work alongside other leading mechanical, electrical, electronics, hardware and software engineers, strategists, social scientists, ergonomics, and prototyping technicians to deliver solutions for a range of complex engineering challenges.
Contribute mechanically to projects for a range of high-profile clients across all stages of the design process.
Taking projects from initial inquiry through to low volume rapid prototyping technologies as well high volume processes such as injection moulding.
A successful Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer will need:
A 1st or Upper 2nd degree in mechanical engineering from a university with a strong engineering reputation.
A great creative problem-solver, able to generate innovative solutions to complex problems.
Direct experience in a product design and development environment is not essential, but relevant work experience and university design projects would be beneficial.
A strong portfolio exemplifying your design experience.
You to be able to combine academic excellence with a natural engineering intuition and a genuine interest in product development.
Good verbal and written communication skills with clients and colleagues.
The Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer will receive:
