***Graduate Teaching Assistants wanted across Hertfordshire

***Primary School placements in St Albans, Watford, Stevenage, Hitchin, and Potters Bar

***Roles commence in January and September 2024 for the entire academic year - £90 per day

***Open to all graduates with a 2:2 or above

***Some schools may offer teacher training upon successful completion of the Teaching Assistant year

Each year, Tradewind St Albans collaborates with numerous graduates, providing them with their initial exposure and opportunity to work in classroom settings across Hertfordshire and the Home Counties. These positions are available at various primary schools, offering a fantastic introduction to the field of education and teaching. While no prior experience is required, a solid academic background, a confident and vibrant personality, along with a strong work ethic, are essential!

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you can anticipate the following benefits:

Valuable experience in a lively Primary School setting. A paid position at £90 per day, starting in January and September 2024, lasting the entire academic year (based on satisfactory performance). A significant opportunity to learn from experienced teachers daily. Access to professional development opportunities through both the school and Tradewind. The potential for teacher training through a school-based program or with the support of a head teacher's recommendation when applying for a PGCE.

The Graduate Teaching Assistant role necessitates:

A passion for education and a commitment to working in a classroom role supporting students of diverse abilities and backgrounds for sustained progress. A robust degree (preferably at least 2:2), accompanied by solid A-Level and GCSE grades. A confident personality and the ability to engage students from various backgrounds.
