Role Description

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join the Purchasing Team in a rapidly growing business to help manage and develop an existing supply base, as well as

The fast-paced environment of the FMCG industry means that this role will develop constantly, with new challenges arising every day within a business that is organically growing.

Role Objective

Process and Manage orders to ensure suppliers are delivering in the correct timeframe, with all cost and stockhold requirements being adhered to.
Problem solve scenarios by quickly learning and understanding a manufacturing based MRP system to ensure that risk of excess stock / cost is reduced.
Engage and manage the full supply base to ensure that best possible cost / service options are being considered.
Proactively look for cost savings through consolidation and negotiation with existing suppliers.
Proactively look for cost savings through sourcing and development of new suppliers.
Ensure that existing suppliers are maintaining agreed cost and lead-time agreements.
Prepare and circulate internal management reports.
Maintain accuracy on system inputted data to allow the best visibility for the planning and production departments.
Liaise closely with customer facing BDM’s to ensure the purchasing decisions are as informed and as accurate as possible.
