With our Client we are looking to appoint Accountants – Semi Senior / Senior for their offices in Bury and Blackburn

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT AS THE ACCOUNTANT

Annual Salary of c £35,000 – with an Annual Salary Review and Performance related Bonus
Flexible / hybrid working will be discussed after the probation period
23.5 Days Holiday – the offices do close over the festive period – PLUS BANK HOLIDAYS
Pension – 8% which can be enhanced
Study Support – after probation

KEY FUNCTIONS OF THE ACCOUNTANT

Outsourcing & Bookkeeping: Managing tasks including bookkeeping and payment runs using cloud-based software.
VAT Management: Preparing, reviewing, and submitting VAT returns.
Financial Reporting: Producing management information, forecasting, budgeting, and cashflow reports.
Year-End Accounts: Preparing annual accounts and corporate tax returns with a focus on tax-sensitive analysis.
Cloud System Projects: Assisting with system conversions, health checks, and training clients in cloud solutions.
Client Advisory: Acting as a trusted adviser, identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery, and building strong client relationships.
Team Leadership: Supervising and mentoring junior team members, contributing to their growth and development.
Internal Projects: Supporting software implementation and internal system improvements.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS NEEDED

Experience in an accountancy practice, ideally AAT qualified or progressing towards ACA/ACCA.
Strong knowledge of cloud-based software such as Xero
Passionate about providing excellent client service and advisory support.
Motivated to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
