Location: Redditch (Hybrid)

Are you a qualified accountant that is committed to excellence and financial integrity. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join a growing business. As a Financial Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and supporting financial decision-making processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse financial data and contribute to the company's overall financial success.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements on a regular basis.
Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciling accounts, posting journal entries, and preparing financial reports.
Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process by providing financial data, variance analysis, and recommendations to management.
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of all financial transactions.
Analyse financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to management.
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax requirements.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

The Successful Applicant:

Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

This role would ideally suit a 1st time mover from practice coming from a Top 10 accountancy firm.
