Legal Cashier (Part-time)

Our client based in Chelmsford are looking for an experienced Legal Cashier to join their team on a permanent part-time basis, 3 days per week (any days). The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience of using Sage or Xero, excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of accounts payable processes. Duties for the Part-time Legal Cashier involves: -

Processing accounts payable transactions efficiently and accurately.
Maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
Preparing and reconciling bank statements on a regular basis to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and statements as required.
Liaising with clients and vendors regarding payment queries and discrepancies.
Ensuring compliance with legal regulations and internal policies related to financial transactions.
Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as needed to enhance operational efficiency.

What you will need: -

Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a legal or professional services environment.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero or Sage is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record keeping.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
