Sous Chef – Exclusive Private Household

Salary: £42,000 per annum Location: Live-in option available Hours: Predominantly Monday to Friday, with the occasional Saturday Benefits: Industry-leading pension scheme, live-in accommodation (if required)

About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an important private household as a Sous Chef. This is a prestigious role ideal for a skilled chef who has worked in Michelin-starred kitchens, 5-star hotels, or private members' clubs. You'll play a key role in delivering exceptional cuisine to the highest standards while enjoying a fantastic work-life balance.

Responsibilities:

Support the Head Chef in preparing and delivering diverse, seasonal menus tailored to the household’s preferences.
Maintain the highest standards of quality and presentation, ensuring all dishes reflect the household’s reputation for excellence.
Assist in managing inventory, sourcing the best ingredients, and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
Uphold strict hygiene and food safety standards, ensuring the kitchen is always audit-ready.
Oversee kitchen operations during the Head Chef's absence, mentoring junior staff to ensure smooth service.
Adapt to occasional weekend or event requirements.

Requirements:

Proven experience in Michelin-starred restaurants, 5-star hotels, or private members’ clubs is essential.
Strong knowledge of fine dining and the ability to create innovative menus with attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to thrive in a structured and discreet environment.
High level of professionalism, discretion, and commitment to excellence.
Right to work in the UK.
